Mr Staple ‘The Original Rude Boy’ was a key member of 2 Tone legends, The Specials, becoming the band’s charismatic and energetic front man, and being part of the late 70’s Ska revival – one of the most exciting periods in British music history.
After The Specials split up he was part of 80’s trio The Fun Boy Three, who had a string of chart hits, and in 1990 formed Special Beat with The Beat’s Ranking Roger.
In 2004, Neville formed The Neville Staple Band, releasing the critically acclaimed album ‘The Rude Boy Returns’. Numerous collaborations with a host of artists and extensive touring across the World have kept Neville at the forefront of the music scene and 2017’s release of the ‘Return Of Judge Roughneck (& Dub Specials)’ album continues to cement his legendary status as a forerunner of the Ska movement.
Expect to hear many old classics like ‘Gangsters’ and ‘Message To You, Rudy’ along with his fantastic own material and classic covers. 2019 is 2 Tone’s 40th anniversary and a skanking good party is going to be had!
